Where can I buy individual issues?
Deutsch perfekt is sold at well-stocked newsagents and railway-station bookshops. If you should have any trouble finding the magazine, just ask your newsagent! Or contact us:

What does a subscription cost?
The subscription rates are as follows for Germany, Austria and all other countries (except Switzerland):

The euro prices include the postage fees for Germany and Austria. The SFR prices include the postage fees for Switzerland.
Can I subscribe to the magazine from abroad, too?
Yes. The euro subscription price includes the postage fees to Austria and the SFR price includes the postage fees to Switzerland. Customers in all other countries add the following postage surcharges:

Could the digital edition (e-paper) be a preferable alternative for me?
Yes, if you live in a very distant country and have Internet access. As a subscriber to the digital edition, you get the complete magazine in pdf format sent directly to your computer - on the very day the issue hits the newsstands. Because no magazines are sent by mail, you save on postage, too! E-paper subscribers can pay conveniently by credit card.

Are there special rates for students and pupils?
Yes. The annual subscription rate for students and pupils is just 51.00 EUR / 87.40 SFR. This special rate applies only to the printed edition. The recipient has to be a pupil, student, trainee (Auszubildende/r) or young person doing community service as an alternative to military training (Zivildienstleistende/r). Just send us a proof of your status (a copy is fine)

When do I pay for my subscription?
After you have received the first issue, you will be sent an invoice. Please pay the full amount by filling out the accompanying form. You are also welcome to pay by credit card (VISA, MasterCard and American Express). Simply give us your credit card number and its expiration date. Your credit card details will be handled confidentially and will be used only for this order.
Who can answer my questions about subscriptions, gift subscriptions and more?
If you have any questions related to your subscription, if you'd like to give someone a subscription to Deutsch perfekt as a gift, or if you wish to inform us of an address change, please contact our friendly customer service staff, which will be happy to help you - in German or English.

When and how can I cancel my subscription?
You may cancel your subscription any time after the first 12 months. We will fully refund any subsequent issues which have been paid for but not yet delivered. You can send a cancellation to us by the following routes:

Note: The only subscription that expires automatically at the end of one year is the gift subscription.
I'm a teacher. How can I take advantage of the free teachers' supplement?
The monthly supplement Deutsch perfekt im Unterricht offers lively ideas and photocopiable materials for classroom use by teachers of German as a foreign language. The materials are specially designed for teachers and oriented to the classroom context. They are based on the topics of the current magazine and are ideally suited for levels A2 to C1. Teachers of German as a foreign language, trainers and other teaching professionals who subscribe to Deutsch perfekt receive the supplement free of charge with the magazine.
